Report: Ellsbury Agrees To 7-Year Deal With N.Y. Yankees

J. Meric/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- The New York Yankees and free agent outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury have agreed to a seven-year contract worth $153 million Tuesday night, according to ESPN. The deal is pending a physical exam and includes an option for an eighth year that could increase the overall value to $169 million.

The 30-year-old Ellsbury had spent his entire seven-year career with the Boston Red Sox, where he won two World Series titles. In 715 career games, he has batted .297 with 65 home runs, 476 runs and 314 RBIs.

The former All-Star has also stolen 241 bases.
