Robert Kraft Wants Tom Brady to Be a Patriot for Life

Jim Rogash/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- There have been times in the NFL over the years where a superstar will spend a majority of his career with one team, and retire with another. Patriots owner Robert Kraft does not want that to see happen to Tom Brady.

Brady was already under contract until the 2014 season when he recently signed a contract extension with the team until the conclusion of the 2017 season. Kraft doesn't ever want to see Brady put on a different uniform.

"I was probably wearing my fan hat as much as anything else," Kraft told Peter King of Sports Illustrated. "I just didn't want to ever see this become like Joe Montana leaving San Francisco, Emmitt Smith leaving Dallas, Brett Favre leaving Green Bay, Peyton Manning leaving Indianapolis."

Brady has been with the Patriots since 2000. He is one of the best quarterbacks of this generation, yet was picked in the sixth round of the NFL Draft back in 2000.

He has won three Super Bowls with the team and if Kraft has anything to say about it, he'll remain a Partiot for his entire Hall of Fame career.
