Spurs Survive Rockets in OT

National Basketball Association(HOUSTON) -- It took an extra period, but the San Antonio Spurs finally overcame the Houston Rockets on Monday night.

Tony Parker logged his first career triple-double, Gary Neal added a career-best 29 and the Spurs defeated the Rockets 134-126 in overtime at the Toyota Center.

Parker had 27 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists but was more concerned about the team's victory. "I was like: 'Man if we lose, nobody is going to care,'" Parker said about his triple-double. "Now that we won the game it makes it even better, because at the end of the day people only care about wins."

The Spurs (18-4) overcame a career game from Jeremy Lin, who scored 38 points to make up for the absence of fellow guard James Harden, who was out for Houston (9-11) with an ankle sprain.

"I'm thankful that I was able to get comfortable out there, but that's definitely secondary to the fact that we blew another close game," Lin said.
