Regan Smith Wins Nationwide Race at Talladega

Sean Gardner/Getty Images(TALLADEGA, Ala.) -- Regan Smith won the Nationwide Series race at Talladega, but it didn't look that way at first.

Smith snagged a photo-finish win after the unofficial results said Kasey Kahne had grabbed the victory. The three-lap sprint to the finish occured after the fifth caution flag of the night came down after Joey Coulter spun out.

Smith, Kahne and Joey Logano all appeared to cross the finish line at the same time. Officials went to video review, and gave Smith the victory.

Logano finished in second.

X Games star Travis Pastrana captured the pole in qualifying, but did not finish after getting into a big crash with Reed Sorenson on Lap 71. He led the first lap of the race.

Kahne finished third, while Kurt Busch finished fourth just ahead of Justin Allgaier, who finished fifth.

Smith took over the points lead in the standings with the win.

NASCAR Nationwide Driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Wins Kansas 300

Tyler Barrick/Getty Images(KANSAS CITY, Kan.) -- Defending NASCAR Nationwide champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won the Kansas Lottery 300 at the Kansas Speedway on Saturday, after Kyle Busch ran out of gas heading into the final turn.

The 25-year-old Stenhouse got off to a rough start after colliding with Joey Logano, which took him out of the race for repairs. Trailing by two laps, the driver of the number 6 was able to make up ground when the race was extended by six laps because of a late caution flag.

With three races remaining, Stenhouse trails Elliott Sadler by six points in the championship standings.

"I think we knew before we even got here that he (Logano) was the car to beat, just looking at his performance here last time," Annett said.

Joey Logano Wins Nationwide Race At Darlington

Rainier Ehrhardt/Getty Images for NASCAR(DARLINGTON, S.C.) -- It came right down to the final five laps to decide a winner on Friday night at Darlington Raceway.

Joey Logano wrecked leader Elliott Sadler and then broke free during a green-white checkered finish for his second straight Nationwide Series victory.  He beat out Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin who finished in second.

Logano did apologize for the wreck but Sadler still was not pleased.

"You just don't bump draft every place you go, especially not at a place like Darlington," Sadler said.

Logano's win was the sixth in the past seven Nationwide events at Darlington for Joe Gibbs Racing drivers.

"Its Darlington, this is a cool race track to win here, it's just cool," said Logano.

Elliot Sadler Wins Second Nationwide Race of Season

John Harrelson/Getty Images for NASCAR(BRISTOL, Tenn.) -- Elliot Sadler has now won the first two of the last four Nationwide races this season.

Before the 2012 season started, he had not won a Nationwide race in 14 years.  Instead of putting new tires on the car, crew chief Luke Lambert told Sadler to go with what he had on the final caution.

On the final restart, with 28 laps remaining, that call turned out to be a good one as Sadler cruised into victory lane holding off Kasey Kahne and Brad Keselowski.

"What a great day.  This is Bristol, I wanted this one worse than anything because I love this racetrack so much,"  said Sadler.  "Great call by Luke (Lambert)."

Kahne, who finished in second, used to be teammates with Sadler in the Cup Series.

"I watch Elliott right now, and I see him, he's as happy as he's been," Kahne said. "He's a good racer and right now he has a lot of confidence and a lot of momentum. He's walking around smiling, and he's confident with his car and his team."

Danica Patrick finished in 19th.

Sadler Snaps 14-Year Nationwide Streak

Todd Warshaw/Getty Images(AVONDALE, Ariz.) -- Headed into Phoenix International Speedway, the last time Elliot Sadler won a Nationwide series race was Oct. 31, 1998 at North Carolina Motor Speedway.

On Saturday, he snapped a 14-year drought when he pulled ahead of Brad Keselowski with 33 laps left after a late caution for the checkered flag at the Supermarket 200.

Ninety-one Nationwide races later, Sadler pulled into victory lane and spun his tires until there was hardly any rubber left.

"Our guys have been working very hard," Sadler said.  "It's a very emotional win. We all know how long it's been since I was in Victory Lane."

The win also marked the first career victory for his crew chief, Lucas Lambert.

"I've got all the confidence in our Nationwide organization and I knew Elliott could get the job done," owner Richard Childress said. "He's been too close too many times."

Finishing behind Keselowski was defending series champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
