Paul George Tallies 13 in Return

Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images(INDIANAPOLIS, In.) -- Perhaps fitting with his new jersey number, Paul George dropped 13 points as part of the Pacers 112-89 victory over the Miami Heat.

It was George's first game action since breaking his right leg eight months ago as part of Team USA scrimmage.

"[It was] everything that I expected," George said of his first game back. "Welcoming me back into the game was probably the greatest moment that I've had. It was so hard to not get caught up in the moment."

George returns at a unique time for the Pacers with five games remaining on the season. Indiana moved ahead of Miami in the eastern conference playoff standing and now trails Boston by one game for eighth place.

When asked what he is looking for in terms of success going forward after the broken leg, George simply stated "winning."

"Now I just have to have consistency and we have to have some consistency if we want to extend the season," George said when pressed further. "Success personally was being able to move, being able to play confidently and not...overcompensating on my left leg."

Heat Point Guard Mario Chalmer Frustrated with Role on Team

Mike Ehrman/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Even though he's having one of the best statistical seasons of his career, Miami Heat point guard Mario Chalmers is growing increasingly upset of his role, or lack thereof, with the team.

With the Heat battling for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, Chalmers expressed his frustrations about direction on the club.

“I don’t even really know what my role is on this team anymore,” Chalmers told the Miami Herald. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing.

“A lot of people are out of rhythm, and you really don’t know what’s going to happen — when you’re going to get the ball, when you’re going to shoot it, you just never know. You just got to be ready for everything, I guess,” Chalmers added.

Chalmers, who's averaging a career-high 10.6 points this season, has one-year left on his current contract after the end of this season.

He has spent his entire seven-year career with the Heat.

Heat's Chris Bosh Eying a Return to the Court Next Season

NBA via Miami Heat(MIAMI) -- Even though he was forced to sit out the rest of the season due to blood clots in his lungs, the Miami Heat announced that All-Star forward Chris Bosh will be healthy and ready to return to the basketball court next season.

After a recent session with the media, Bosh admitted that he played with the clots for "three weeks probably" before his diagnosis.

Bosh vacationed with teammate Dwayne Wade in Haiti during the All-Star break, felt discomfort, and was then admitted to a hospital after his wife pushed him to do so.

"She saves my life on a daily basis," Bosh said with a grin. "I was in a lot of pain, and it got to the point where I kind of had to swallow my pride a little bit. It's an athlete thing. We're always trying to be superheroes out there all the time. I had to put my pride to the side. Usually the woman is going to be the first to do that. I went ahead and bit the bullet and went to the doctor."

Fortunately for Bosh, he'll be able to resume his basketball career.

The 30-year-old Bosh is a 12-year NBA veteran and is in his fifth season with the Heat.

10-Time NBA All-Star G Ray Allen Won't Play this Season

iStock/Thinkstock(MIAMI) -- Ten-time NBA All-Star shooting guard Ray Allen will not suit up this season, but may return to the hardwood floor next year, he announced on Wednesday.

“Over the past several months, I have taken a lot of time to deliberate what is best for me,” Allen said in a statement released to ESPN. “I’ve ultimately decided that I will not play this NBA season. I’m going to take the remainder of this season, as well as the upcoming off-season, to reassess my situation, spend time with my family and determine if I will play in the 2015-16 season.”

Allen was originally selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the fifth overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft.  In 18 seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle Supersonics, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat, he has averaged 18.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

Allen is the NBA’s all-time leader in 3-pointers made in both the regular season and postseason. He has won two Larry O’Brien trophies, with the Boston Celtics (2008) and Miami Heat (2013).
