Vick Misses Practice, Status for Sunday Unclear

Rob Carr/Getty Images(PHILADELPHIA) -- Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, who broke two ribs during Sunday's home loss to the Arizona Cardinals, did not practice on Wednesday, and it is still unclear if he will be available for Sunday night's game against the 6-3 New York Giants.

Eagles head coach Andy Reid said Vick, who was hurt early in the game Sunday but played through the pain, is still sore.

The Eagles, 3-6 on the season, need a win on Sunday to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

Michael Vick Has Broken Ribs

Rob Carr/Getty Images(PHILADELPHIA) -- Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid announced on Monday quarterback Michael Vick has two broken ribs.  Vick suffered the injury during the Eagles' 21-17 home loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.  Vick completed less than fifty percent of his passes in the game and threw two interceptions.  Philadelphia fell to 3-6 with the loss.

Reid said it was too early to determine if Vick would be able to play against the New York Giants on Sunday night.

Eagles Make a Statement in 34-7 Win over the Cowboys

Drew Hallowell/Philadelphia Eagles/Getty Images(PHILADELPHIA) -- The Dallas Cowboys had a chance to bury the Eagles in the NFC East standings, but they failed miserably in their attempt.

From the beginning, the Eagles looked more and more like the "Dream Team" and not a team that started out 1-4. Philadelphia jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter and before Dallas could react, they were down 24-0 after the first half. Heading into the game, the Cowboys had the best run defense in the NFL and hadn't allowed a 100 yard rusher all year. That streak ended spectacularly, however, as the Eagles had over 100 yards rushing in the first quarter alone.

Eagles quarterback Michael Vick picked apart the Dallas defense, throwing for 279 yards with two touchdowns and finished the game with a 129.9 quarterback rating. Even though Vick played very well, running back LeSean McCoy was the best offensive player for the Eagles as he ran for a career high 185 yards on a career high 30 carries; he also scored two touchdowns.

"I feel like every game is a chance for me to prove myself," McCoy said. "At any given time, any one of our guys could go off."

As impressive as the Eagles offense was, their defense was just as outstanding. Dallas had a season-low 267 yards on offense. The Eagles' much-maligned run defense allowed the Cowboys to rush for just 85 yards, and held the rest of the offense in check as quarterback Tony Romo threw for just 203 yards; throwing a touchdown as well as an interception.

With the win, the Eagles improved to 3-4 while the Cowboys are now tied with the Eagles at 3-4 as well. Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid is now 13-0 all-time, coming off the team's bye week.
