Bayless' Buzzer-Beater Allows Bucks to Live Another Day

Mike McGinnis/Getty Images(MILWAUKEE) -- With 1.3 seconds left, Jerryd Bayless burned Derrick Rose, caught the inbounds pass, and scored as the buzzer sounded to lift the Milwaukee Bucks over the Chicago Bulls 92-90 Saturday, in Game 4 of their first round playoff series.

The win means the Bucks avoid elimination and force a Game 5 Monday in Chicago.

O.J. Mayo scored 18 points to help the Bucks win their first playoff game in five years.

The Bucks used an aggressive defense that forced the Bulls into 26 turnovers, eight by Rose, in the victory.

Jimmy Butler, who played his college ball in Milwaukee at Marquette, had 33 points and seven rebounds in the loss.

All nine Bucks that played Saturday scored at least six points.

Bulls Win Behind Rose in Double OT, Lead Series 3-0

NBA via Getty Images(MILWAUKEE) -- Derrick Rose scored 34 points and Jimmy Butler added 24 as the Chicago Bulls beat the Milwaukee Bucks 113-106 in double overtime on Thursday night to take a 3-0 lead in their Eastern Conference playoff series.

Butler got the second overtime started in the right direction for Chicago, intercepting a backcourt pass from Giannis Antetokounmpo and hitting a layup. It set the tone for an 8-0 run that gave Chicago a 109-101 lead with 2:44 left to finally shake the Bucks.

Rose missed a free throw with 4 seconds left in regulation that left the game tied. However, he scored six points in the second overtime, including a layup off an offensive rebound with 2:15 left for a 10-point lead.

Antetokounmpo had 25 points and Khris Middleton added 18 for Milwaukee, which went scoreless for more than 6 minutes between the first and second overtimes.

The Bulls will go for the sweep on Saturday in Game 4 in Milwaukee. No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a series.

Bucks Destroy Nets, Clinch Playoff Berth

Mike McGinnis/Getty Images(MILWAUKEE) -- The Milwaukee Bucks destroyed the Brooklyn Nets 96-73 on Sunday, to clinch the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.

The playoff berth is just another feather in the cap for a team that lost a franchise-worst 67 games last season.

Ersan Ilyasova scored 21 points in the victory as the Bucks (40-40) become the first team since the 2008-09 Miami Heat to make the playoffs a year removed from having the NBA's worst record.

Bucks head coach Jason Kidd becomes the first person in NBA history to go to the playoffs with two different teams in his first two seasons as a head coach.

Despite the loss, the Nets (37-43) still currently hold the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with two games to play.

10-Time NBA All-Star G Ray Allen Won't Play this Season

iStock/Thinkstock(MIAMI) -- Ten-time NBA All-Star shooting guard Ray Allen will not suit up this season, but may return to the hardwood floor next year, he announced on Wednesday.

“Over the past several months, I have taken a lot of time to deliberate what is best for me,” Allen said in a statement released to ESPN. “I’ve ultimately decided that I will not play this NBA season. I’m going to take the remainder of this season, as well as the upcoming off-season, to reassess my situation, spend time with my family and determine if I will play in the 2015-16 season.”

Allen was originally selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the fifth overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft.  In 18 seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle Supersonics, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat, he has averaged 18.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

Allen is the NBA’s all-time leader in 3-pointers made in both the regular season and postseason. He has won two Larry O’Brien trophies, with the Boston Celtics (2008) and Miami Heat (2013).
