Injury or Not, Jackson Not 'Missing This Game'

Doug Pensinger/Getty Images(ASHBURN, Va.) -- Washington Redskins receiver DeSean Jackson isn't going to let a shoulder injury stop him from playing against his former team on Sunday.

Jackson, who was released by the Philadelphia Eagles in the spring after articles came out questioning his character, says despite spraining his left shoulder last week against Jacksonville, he will be on the field Sunday.

"I don't think an AC joint is jeopardizing my career in the long haul," Jackson said. "If it's all on me, I'm playing. I don't plan on missing this game."

Jackson did not practice Wednesday, but Washington head coach Jay Gruden said the receiver will be a limited participant in practice Thursday.

Before being released, Jackson played six seasons with the Eagles. During that time he played in 87 games, catching 356 passes for 6,117 yards and 32 touchdowns, and also returning four punts for touchdowns.
