Orlando Magic Hire Rob Hennigan, 30, as General Manager

National Basketball Association(ORLANDO, Fla.) -- The Orlando Magic hired 30-year-old Rob Hennigan as General Manager.

In 2004, Hennigan was hired to work in the Front Office of the San Antonio Spurs. He then spent four years in the Oklahoma City Thunders' front office, including serving as the assistant general manager the final two years.

"As we were going through our process we were looking for an individual...a leader who would bring championship organization experience....was a great strategist and brought with him a sound system and approach to evaluating talent," said Magic owner Richard DeVos.

Hennigan is taking over a team that has won over 50-games the last four seasons.

"It was clear to me in our first meeting and subsequent meetings how committed the family and the organization is to winning," Hennigan said. "Not only winning but doing things in a certain way. That was something that really resonated with me personally and something I got excited about."

Hennigan becomes the youngest general manager in the NBA.

Magic Owner Devos Doesn't Want to Trade Dwight Howard

Christian Petersen/Getty Images(ORLANDO) -- Another day, another chapter in the Dwight Howard trade drama. Despite the All-Star center's desire to be traded from the Magic, if you ask Magic owner Richard Devos, he doesn't want Dwight going anywhere.

"I don't want to trade him," Devos said when referring to Howard's trade status.

Howard is set to become a free agent at the end of the season, but Devos isn't ruling out the possibility of bringing Howard back.

"You never give up, Devos said. "We've got a great talent, a great young man. He's got to look at his options (and) what's best for him and I have to tell him what I think is best for him. I'm selfish."

The 26-year old Howard is averaging 20 points and a NBA leading 15.4 rebounds per game. He has won the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year Award the past three seasons.
