Goodell Considering Canceling the Pro Bowl

Slaven Vlasic/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- This year's NFL Pro Bowl has been criticized by fans and even players this year because of the poor and uninspiring play. The fans who saw the game live in Hawaii even booed the player's effort early on. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell heard those boos, and will consider doing away with the annual game.

"We're either going to have to improve the quality of what we're doing in the Pro Bowl or consider other changes, or even consider eliminating the game if that's the kind of quality of game we're going to provide," Goodell said.

Even though the Pro Bowl has come under fire in recent years, most notably this year, the Pro Bowl was still the highest rated sporting event of that weekend.

Lions' Suh Will Discuss Rules with NFL

NFL via Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Usually when a player meets with NFL officials and Commissioner Roger Goodell, he did something he likely wasn't supposed to -- almost like getting sent to the principal's office. However, Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh himself has requested a sit-down with Goodell and other NFL officials on Tuesday.

Suh apparently requested the meeting because he wants a better understanding on the NFL's rules on the defensive side of the ball. Suh has come under fire since during his young career for being a overly physical player -- has been labeled as dirty by some around the NFL, and has been fined multiple times for his ferocious playing style and sometimes brutal hits. He hopes to alleviate any concerns during the meeting.

"To me," Suh said, "It's just an opportunity to go out there and have good diolague and see what I can take from that meeting. If it's nothing, then it's nothing. If it's something good, it's something good."

Suh is the defensive anchor for the 6-2 Lions and one of the faces of the franchise. This season, the 24-year-old Suh has 24 tackles and three sacks.
