Tebow Enjoying Success In Denver
Al Messerschmidt/Getty Images(DENVER) -- Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is riding a wave of momentum in the Mile High City.
Since taking over for Kyle Orton under center earlier this season, the 24-year-old Tebow is 6-1 as a starter with 9 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing TDs. In his first 10 career NFL starts, the former Florida Gator has five game-winning drives in the fourth quarter or overtime.
“I honestly don’t care necessarily too much of how we got to do it, or how many times we throw it or all the rest of the statistics,” Tebow said. “The way we look at it, is a win is a win.”
Critics question whether the former Heisman Trophy winner can maintain his success, despite not being a prototypical NFL quarterback. Tebow says he's not bothered by those who question his playmaking ability.
“The great thing is I don’t have to listen to what other people say,” Tebow explained. “That’s something I learned a long time ago.”
Tebow and the Broncos will welcome the Chicago Bears to Denver this Sunday afternoon in a Week 14 showdown.
