Texans J.J. Watt Dislocates Elbow

Patrick McDermott/Getty Images(HOUSTON) -- Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt dislocated his elbow in practice Thursday.

Although the second year player out of Wisconsin could miss most of training camp, he should be ready for the Texans' season opener against Miami.

“We dodged another bullet,” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said. “All the tests came back good, and obviously, he’s going to miss some time, but he’s going to be ready to go. And knowing J.J., it’s going to be pretty darn quick. So we’re very, very fortunate. He was already in there rehabbing when I walked over to practice.”

Watt had 56 tackles and 5.5 sacks last season as a rookie.
