Vikings Exercise Fourth Year Contract Option on Frazier

Andy Clayton King/Getty Images(MINNEAPOLIS) -- Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier had his fourth-year contract option exercised by the team Thursday, keeping Frazier signed through the 2014 season.

Frazier led the Vikings to 10 wins last season after winning only three the previous year.

"Coach Frazier has done a remarkable job in building a strong foundation for the Minnesota Vikings and creating a very positive future," Vikings owner Mark Wilf said. "We value his leadership and look forward to working with him for many years to come."

Frazier took over as Vikings coach with six games left in the 2010 season when the team fired Brad Childress. Frazier finished that season 3-3 before going 3-13 in 2011 and 10-6 in 2012.
