(LAKE FOREST, Ill.) -- Zach Johnson capped off an incredible stretch after rallying to win the BMW Championship by two shots over Nick Whatney on Monday.
Johnson beat out Whatney and Jim Furyk after finishing at 16-under 268 and took home $1.44 million in the process. It was his 10th career victory.
Johnson has had great success on the golf course so far in September. He earned the final spot on the President's Cup team. But perhaps more importantly, the win shot Johnson up to the No. 4 seed going into the Tour Championship.
He now has a legitimate chance to win the FedEx Cup and $10 million.
"It's hard to grasp the past two week of golf," Johnson said. "It's not like you have to win every week to win that FedEx Cup. You've just got to win at the right times, or play well at the right times. And I like the momentum I have for next week."
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods will have the No. 1 seed going into the Tour Championship. He finished the tournament tied for 11th, seven shots behind Johnson.
