Drunken Man Calls 911 for Beer

(COLUMBIA, Tenn.) -- An intoxicated Columbia man was arrested for calling 911 numerous times during a 12-hour period hoping for a police-assisted beer run.

ABC affiliate WKRN-TV reports Allen Troy Brooks, 67, requested the dispatcher to come to his home to pick him up and give him a ride to buy beer on Saturday.

Cops arrested the thirsty caller for making aggravated 911 calls for non-emergency purposes and took him the Maury County Jail.

Brooks was released on a $1,500 bond.
