Nissan May Move More Production to Tennessee

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) -- According to the Japanese business newspaper Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Nissan will move production of its Murano utility vehicle to its Smyrna, Tenn., plant from Japan in 2014, The Tennessean reports.
Although officials at the Nissan Americas headquarters in Franklin have declined to deny or confirm the report, if the production does expand in Tennessee more workers would most likely be added to the plant.
