Two Planes Diverted to Nashville Due to Emergencies

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) -- Two planes were diverted to Nashville following emergencies on Tuesday.

A Frontier Airlines plane originating from Atlanta and bound for Denver was diverted to Nashville International Airport after crew members reported a strange smell in the cockpit. The plane arrived without further incident at 7:30 p.m. and all 99 passengers were booked on other flights. The source of the odor was not revealed.

At 8:45 p.m., a Jet Blue flight from Austin, Texas to Boston was forced to land in Nashville after a passenger needed medical attention for chest pains. The passenger was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their condition is unknown.
