Plea Deal Offered to NFL Player Accused of Sexual Abuse

(WASHINGTON) -- Prosectors in the Albert Haynesworth sex assault case have offered the NFL player a plea deal, according to court documents.

Haynesworth, 29, is charged with misdemeanor sexual abuse for allegedly fondling a waitress at a hotel restaurant in Washington Feb. 13. The deal would drop the sex abuse charge if the Washington Redskins defensive lineman pleads guilty to simple assault.

According to documents, Haynesworth has until May 17 to agree to the terms of the deal.
