Massachusetts Man Killed in Hit-and-Run in Arlington

(ARLINGTON, Va.) -- A man is dead following a hit-and-run collision in Arlington on Tuesday morning.

The incident happened on Route 110 near the Arlington National Cemetery. Police said the man -- a 62-year-old veteran from Massachusetts, according to ABC affiliate WJLA-TV -- landed on a sidewalk after being hit by a vehicle. The driver of that vehicle left the scene before authorities arrived.

The incident remains under investigation.
