Montgomery Co. Police to Take Part in Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

(MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md.) -- The Montgomery County Police Department has announced that it will be teaming up with the Washington Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to participate in Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, which is on Saturday.

Officials say all six Montgomery County Police district stations and the police headquarters will serve as DEA Prescription Drug Take-Back locations, giving residents the opportunity to dispose of expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs in a safe manner. Illicit drugs and needles will not be accepted as part of the program.

Collection boxes will be available from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m.
