Police Investigate Apparent Murder Suicide in Silver Spring

(SILVER SPRING, Md.) -- Montgomery County Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Silver Spring on Sunday, which left a married couple dead.

Officers were called to an apartment on the 13600 block of Colgate Way in the Briggs Chaney area of Silver Spring just after 10:30 a.m. They found a 49-year-old male and his 39-year-old wife dead with evidence of trauma to their bodies. A suicide note was reportedly found in the apartment.

Police say the circumstances that led to the couple's death are still being investigated.
