Suspect Named in Murder of Capitol Heights Woman
(CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md.) -- Prince George's County Police have released the name of a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in Capitol Heights on Sunday morning, which left one woman dead and another injured.
Police say 33-year-old Michael Jerome Stewart, of Upper Malboro, is the person who pulled the trigger, killing 25-year-old Brittany Sade McKinley and injuring a 23-year-old woman.
The shooting happened on the 4600 block of Heath Street. Police said Stewart and his ex-girlfriend, McKinley, got into a dispute at Irving's Night Club -- where the woman worked -- prior to the shooting and Stewart was kicked out of the club by security. Investigators believe that Stewart then went to McKinley's Heath Street home and waited for her and shot her and the other victim.
