Suspicious Package Reported at the Saudi Embassy

(WASHINGTON) -- A suspicious package caused road closures in the District Monday morning.

The Washington Post reports that New Hampshire Avenue NW between F St. and Virginia Avenue was temporarily closed after a suspicious package was reported at the Saudi Embassy.

The road near the embassy, which sits near the Watergate complex and the Kennedy Center, was reopened shortly after 11 a.m. after authorities determined the package non-hazardous.

No injuries were reported.
