Victim in Fatal Dickerson Crash Identified as Russian Woman

(DICKERSON, Md.) -- Police have identified the woman who was killed in a fiery crash in Dickerson on June 5.
The dead woman was identified as Daria Yuryevna Soboleva, 20, Montgomery County Police said Wednesday. Soboleva is a Russian national who came to Ocean City to spend the summer, police said.
The crash happened in the area of Dickerson Road and Mount Ephraim Road. A police report stated that a 2002 Honda Civic headed east on Dickerson Road ran off the roadway, struck a stone railroad bridge overpass and burst into flames. A passenger was pulled from the vehicle by a bystander. However, those helping were unable to rescue the female driver and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
