US, Yemen Stress Cooperation Against Al Qaeda

Courtesy - – President Obama Tuesday joined President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen in condemning al Qaeda's attempt to smuggle improvised explosive devices into printer cartridges that were sent to addresses in Chicago, according to a White House press release.

In a call between the two leaders, President Obama emphasized the need for Yemen to "help reinforce confidence in the cargo air shipment sector" by improving security with the help of the global community.

According to the release, President Saleh said he will fully cooperate with the United States as well as with ongoing investigations in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
