Bangladesh Factory Fire Kills at Least Eight

STR/AFP/Getty Images(DHAKA, Bangladesh) -- A fire in a garment factory in Bangladesh has left at least eight people dead, including the factory's director and a police official.

The 11-story building, containing a factory and apartments, caught fire overnight.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the blaze.

Late last month, a building collapsed near Bangladesh's capital Dhaka, killing more than 900 people. The building housed five factories before it collapsed.
