Britain’s Prince Harry Coming to the US in May

Chris Jackson/Getty Images(LONDON) -- Get ready America: Prince Harry is coming back.

The 28-year-old prince will visit the U.S. on May 9-15 for an “engagement on behalf of charities with which the Prince is closely associated,” Clarence House announced Monday morning.

The notoriously fun-loving prince won’t be returning to Las Vegas, the site of his infamous escapade last August where he was spotted partying alongside Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and with at least one woman who posted naked photos of him online.

This time around, the prince, who last visited the U.S. on official duty last May, will make six stops around the country, all primarily focused on supporting veterans.

Prince Harry will head out west to Colorado to attend the 2013 Warrior Games, a competition between British and American veterans.

In Washington D.C., the prince will tour a landmine exhibit and meet with wounded veterans at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Also on the East Coast, Prince Harry will tour areas of New Jersey hit by Hurricane Sandy, attend an event in New York City to promote a community baseball program and attend the Sentebale Polo Cup in Greenwich, Conn., the palace said.

Prince Harry returned in January from a four-month tour of duty in Afghanistan as a pilot for the British Army, where he is known as “Captain Wales.”
