Buthayna Kamel: Egypt's First Female Presidential Candidate

Comstock Images/Thinkstock(LUXOR, Egypt) -- For the first time in Egypt's history, a woman will run for president, according to NPR.

The world watched as women filled Tahrir Square in Cairo to help overthrow former President Hosni Mubarak, and now many women -- though not all -- hope to see one of their own in the top spot.

Buthayna Kamel, a 49-year-old talk show host, is throwing her hat in the ring after recently hitting the campaign trail in Luxor.
