Chinese Rush to Marry on ‘Love You Forever’ Day

TPG/Getty Images(BEIJING) -- In Mandarin, pronouncing Jan. 4, 2013 sounds like “I will love you all my life,” so thousands of couples in China lined up at registry offices across the country Friday to tie the knot.

The day has been nicknamed, “Love you forever day.” They couples are hoping the lucky day might bring them eternal romance.
