In China, Sex Doll Helps Curb Speeding

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- A Chinese homeowner who was tired of cops ignoring speeders blowing the stop lights outside her house found an unlikely ally in a real dummy.

Lin Chen, 67, dressed up a doll in lingerie and attached it to the tree outside her home in Ningbo, and now drivers are hitting the brakes right on schedule, if for nothing else than to catch a glimpse at the apparently nearly-naked "woman" posing on a front lawn.

"I thought that drivers would slow down if I could give them something worth looking it," she said.

According to the Daily Mirror, a police spokesman says of Lin's idea, "It isn't a method we would use, but we can't say it isn't working."
