Iran Unveils Newest, Largest Drone

Ian McKinnell Collection/Photographer's Choice RF (TEHRAN, Iran) -- Iran unveiled a new drone on Monday, equipped with a missile and capable of flying up to 30 hours and 1,250 miles, according to Iran's state news agency.

The drone is called "Fotros" and the Iranian defense minister claimed on Monday that it can be used for both combat and surveillance.

The defense minister said that the drone passed the required tests, showing that "sanctions imposed by the enemies are not an obstacle to the progress of the defense industry," the Agence France-Presse reports.
