(NEW YORK) -- Wherever Kate Middleton goes, controversy is never far behind.
In the latest instance of the Duchess of Cambridge making unwanted headlines, Us Weekly reports that an Italian tabloid is publishing photographs of the pregnant Middleton and her barely-visible baby bump while she and husband Prince William are vacationing on Mustique Island in the Caribbean.
The photos of the couple appear in Chi, which hits newsstands on Wednesday.
The Royal Family is incensed over the photos, especially since it was Chi that ran the topless pictures of Middleton last year that caused a national uproar in Great Britain.
St. James Palace said in a statement that it was "disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas. This is a clear breach of the couple's right to privacy."
Us Weekly claims a source told the magazine that the fact that Middleton's bump was "exposed so quickly has shaken her up a little. They thought with the privacy laws on the island they would be able to spend a moment outside of the house without this happening."
The Duchess is due to give birth to the couple's first child in July.
