(TEHRAN, Iran) -- Two men in Iran who robbed and assaulted another man last December and then had the audacity to post a clip of their crime on YouTube, according to The Daily Mail, have been hanged for the offense.
Iran state radio announced on Sunday that the hanging followed a speedy trial that was spurred by public outrage at the incident.
Alireza Mafiha and Mohammad Ali-Sorouri, both in their 20s, were executed after they were found guilty of "waging war against God," which in Iran can mean literally anything considered subversive or offensive.
About 300 people turned out for the public hanging, which was photographed.
Accomplices of the executed men got off relatively easy in comparison: they each received 74 lashes and 10-year prison sentences.
