Norwegian Terror Suspect Wrote 1,518-Page Manifesto

Verard M. Aas/ Images(OSLO) -- The Norwegian man arrested for Friday's attacks that killed 93 people reportedly plagiarized portions of his enormous manifesto from the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski.

Anders Behring Breivik was taken into custody within three minutes of police arriving on Utoya Island, where he is believed to have shot over 80 people, mainly youths. Breivik confessed to the shootings and to an earlier bombing at government buildings in Oslo that killed seven.

Authorities say that he had plenty of ammunition left upon his surrender. Reports also indicate that he may have used bullets designed to atomize inside the body in order to cause maximum injury.

A police spokesman in Oslo said that Breivik believed he had a ten to 30 percent chance of escaping.

A video attributed to Breivik that was found online contained disturbing images, anti-Muslim rhetoric, and belligerent messages calling for conservative martyrdom.

The suspect is also responsible for a 1,518 page manifesto, portions of which are believed to have been taken from or inspired by a similar diatribe by Ted Kaczynski.
