(NEW SOUTH WALES, Australia) -- A state of emergency has been declared in New South Wales as wildfires continue to burn.
So far the blaze has killed at least one man and has destroyed more than 200 homes.
According to the BBC, the state of emergency will give more power to emergency services over the next 30 days.
Officials are predicting high temperatures and strong winds in the next few days, which could make the fire even worse.
