(NEW YORK) -- Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Rybakov is claiming to have evidence that incriminates the Syrian opposition in the Aug. 21st chemical attack.
The evidence has not yet been made public but the foreign minister plans to discuss the findings with the U.N. Security Council.
"We've seen no credible reporting, no credible evidence that the opposition has used chemical weapons in Syria. Period," State Department deputy spokesperson Marie Harf said.
Rybacov is in Damascus to present the Syrian government with details of the U.S.-Russian deal that would rid Syria of its chemical weapons.
