South Korea's Presidential Race Close, Exit Polls Show

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(SEOUL, South Korea) -- South Koreans are picking their new leader on Wednesday.

Early exit polls from the country's presidential election indicate the two leading candidates are neck and neck.

The new leader will help set the tone for the U.S., China and others in North Korea.  Last week, the secretive regime carried out a long-range rocket test.

Conservative candidate Park Geun-hye is hoping to become South Korea's first female president.  But her opponent, the more liberal Moon Jae-in, may benefit from a high voter turnout.
