Strong Earthquake Rattles Parts of Puerto Rico

Jason Reed/Thinkstock(SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico) -- A 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck off the northern coast of Puerto Rico early Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake hit 61 miles northwest of San Juan at 12:01 a.m. local time.  It was 17.4 miles deep.

While minor damage and some shaking was reported, no one was injured. 

A tsunami warning was not issued following the tremor.
