(BAGHDAD) -- Armed men launched an attacked on Iraq’s largest oil refinery Saturday morning.
Authorities say the attack happened in the early hours of the morning, as men armed with bombs and guns stormed the Baiji refinery, located north of Baghdad. Authorities say the attackers detonated bombs in a number pipelines, causing massive flames to erupt. The men also reportedly shot some workers at the refinery. At least four engineers were reportedly killed in the attack.
Operations at the refinery had to be shut down because of the damage caused by the incident, and officials say it may be a few days before production can resume.
