(NEW YORK) -- Saudi Arabia's ruling monarch moved into a critical period of realignment Saturday after the death of the heir to the throne.
Visiting the country, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offered her condolences to the people of Saudi Arabia on the loss of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abd al-Aziz, who died in New York after a battle with colon cancer on Saturday.
Clinton said she will not comment on leadership decisions Saudi Arabia will make in the coming days.
"Our relationship with Saudi Arabia is strong and enduring and we will look forward to working with the leadership for many years to come," Clinton said.
