(LONDON) -- After 366 days, 99 flights and 23 countries cooped up in the same cockpit, a British couple is still talking.
Patrick Elliott and his wife Linda Walker are believed to be the first married couple to circumnavigate the globe in a homemade airplane. They paid about 800 dollars for a third hand manual of instructions and plans written by leading Nasa engineer Burt Rutan. A former British Airways pilot, Patrick said he wanted a chance to fly at his own pace, admitting it would have been easier and cheaper to fly first class.
His wife says the real achievement is the fact they're still speaking and looking forward to their next adventure together.
