(KABUL, Afghanistan) -- A suicide attack in northeastern Afghanistan Wednesday morning left 10 people dead and seven others injured.
The bombing was carried by a suicide attacker on foot who targeted a tribal gathering in the Asmar district of Kunar province. The blast went off around 11:30 a.m. local time, killing famous jihadi commander Malik Zareen and one of the senior tribal elders of Kunar province.
The tribal gathering was centered on regional security issues and tribal disputes.
