Who Took the Topless Photos of Kate Middleton?

John Stillwell - WPA Pool/Getty Images(PARIS) -- A freelance photographer claims that he knows the identity of the person who snapped the topless photos of Kate Middleton sunbathing at a secluded, private French chateau while on vacation with her husband, Prince William.

French celebrity photographer Pascal Rostain told France’s Metro Newspaper that the photographer was an Englishman living in the south of France working for Closer, the gossip magazine that first published the topless photos last Friday. But he refused to give up the paparazzo’s name. Four additional publications, in Ireland, Denmark, Sweden and Italy, have since published the infamous photos.

Whoever the photographer is, he or she could face a $60,000 fine and one year in prison under French law.

The the Royal Family scored a legal victory earlier this week, when a French court ordered Closer to turn over all digital copies of the photos by Wednesday.

The magazine was also ordered to not publish the photos further, and warned that it could face a $12,000 fine each time it defies the ruling. It is not known if the tabloid has complied.

The court's decision only affects Closer in France and not the other publications that have published the topless photos. Despite the injunction, there is nothing the royal family can do about the photos appearing online or outside of France.

Nude Photos of Prince Harry Surface Online

Stuart Wilson/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Pictures of a naked Prince Harry at a Las Vegas hotel that surfaced online are real, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

TMZ posted photos overnight of the prince playing pool in a hotel suite room fully naked.  In one of the photos, reportedly taken on Friday, Harry is seen standing and covering his genitals with his hand.  An unidentified woman, who also appears to be naked, is standing behind him.

In another photo, the 27-year-old prince is bear-hugging a naked woman.

Prince Harry has been on holiday with friends, letting off steam before the next phase of his military duties, sources told ABC News.

The palace said it won't be making any further comments about the nude photos.

"Everybody knows better than to party naked in a room full of strangers without confiscating the cellphones.  That's just Hollywood 101," said ABC News public relations consultant Howard Bragman of  "There's always deniability, but once the photos are taken, you're caught."

Harry's time in Las Vegas had been low-key.  Harry and Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte faced off Monday in a swimming battle at a pool party, according to video obtained by the New York Daily News. The impromptu faceoff occurred at the XS Nightclub pool at the Wynn Hotel.  Lochte can be seen in the video raising his hands in victory, just as if he'd defeated former rival Michael Phelps for gold.

Harry, third in line to the British throne, has been in Vegas since the weekend.  The prince was spotted on Saturday chilling out a few bungalows away at a pool party Jennifer Lopez hosted at MGM Grand's Wet Republic, according to People magazine.

Iranian Actress Banned For Nude Photo

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images(PARIS) -- An Iranian actress has been banned from her home country after she posed nude for a French magazine.

The black-and-white photograph shows Golshifteh Farahani topless, but covering her breasts with her hands.

“I was told by a Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guide official that Iran does not need any actors or artists. You may offer your artistic services somewhere else," Farahani told The Telegraph after the photograph was published in France’s Madame Le Figaro magazine.

Farahani, who was the first Iranian-based actress to star in a Hollywood film since the country’s 1979 revolution, is a major star in Iran but is best known abroad for playing opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe in Body of Lies.

The photograph, which was posted on her Facebook fan page, drew polarizing responses.

“We have to be open-minded but not with opened dresses. She sold her body as an Icon,” a commenter named Sathiajith wrote.

“I think you are a brave woman Golshifteh and hope you will get the respect from your country that you deserve,” a commenter named Chris wrote.

This isn’t the first time Farahani’s career has upset authorities in Iran. The actress said an Iranian court weighed whether she broke a law by making a movie without permission, she told the New York Daily News at the 2008 premiere of Body of Lies, causing the actress and her husband to move to Paris.

“[Iranian officials] took my passport. The intelligence service interrogated me several times. In the end, the judge said, ‘We have to see the movie and then decide what we’re going to do with you,’” she told the newspaper.
